Mariko is a Japanese artist whose work was influenced by her multicultral experiences. Manga artists such as Masumi Moriwaki, and Moto Hagio have influenced Mariko as a young artist. In recent years she became a prized student of gifted artist David Kibuuka, learning the powerful art style of Modern Batik paintings.
